Dr. Alves is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida. He graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology as a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. He has worked with various populations including those with addiction or substance abuse, grief issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, severe mental illnesses, the elderly and retirement issues, relationship issues, panic disorder, divorce, etc... He has worked in various settings including inpatient psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization, crisis outreach services, community mental health, outpatient clinics, forensic hospitals, nursing homes and emergency rooms. He currently takes Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, Medicare, Humana and Blue Cross Blue/Shield insurance.
